The middle meningeal vessels and a meningeal branch of the mandibular nerve. The middle meningeal artery & vein ares the largest nutrient vessels of the skull. They imprint the inner surface deeply enough to be easily visible on skull x-ray. They split into frontal and parietal branches.

Because of the impression into bone,  skull fraactures may particularly lacerate these vessels.
